So in spite of the improvements, the 2018 Trax's ride quality, performance and fuel efficiency all lag behind the rest of the class. Last year, Chevy gave the Trax a face-lift both outside and in and added more technology, but the underlying mechanicals weren't changed. For the love of God, this is a new car and I should not have to have problems like this nor have to feel unsafe driving the car wondering what is going to happen next!! The first few times with the trouble I was offered by Chevrolet an extended warranty on a car that I DO NOT WANT nor Trust, now they are telling me that if I want to do a buy-back, I have to have the car in for the same issue 3 or more times. Since this issue, in the last year I have had the turbo replaced, the radio/dash replaced twice and the radio and dash will still go black when driving the car, they have installed a cold weather package because the car would not heat, this past … Winter, I started my car to let it warm up and came out to it smoking like it was on fire and it had no power, supposedly there was a ball of ice in the turbo, how does that happen, it was never explained to me, the brakes have failed and for it being an AWD, I feel like a feather in front on a fan!! The TAC and fuel gauge have never worked. Within the 1st week of owning it I stated having problems.
